Sophie started play tennis at 5 years old in Toronto, Ontario. With her love of tennis and hard work, she achieved a high ranking of #1 U12 in Canada. Sophie is a Champion/Finalist for over 85 tournaments during her tennis journey.

She has gained valuable international experience with Tennis Canada, playing tennis Europe tournaments in Italy (Champion Doubles Cat 2) and Portugal (Finalist Singles Cat 1), and training at EMPIRE Tennis Academy in Slovakia.

 

Sophie’s ITF highlights of 2024 are as follows: Champion Doubles and Finalist J30 Bridgetown, Barbados; Finalist Doubles J60 Fredericton, Canada; Finalist Doubles J30 Trujillo, Peru.

Currently, she trains at Thornhill & Mayfair West Tennis Clubs with coach Mark Iuliano and her father Oleg Dement.
